Leading by Example – “Mentoring and Coaching for Effective
Leadership”
In leading teams and divisions, the moral authority of the
leader is sometimes questioned due to his or her poor
leadership style. Unfortunately, such a leader ends up with
very little influence over his team, which may result in
negative and disruptive behaviours from members of the team.
“Leading by Example” will teach participants how to become
more trustworthy role models. Participants will be exposed to
three sequential components of long lasting, legitimate
influence that go beyond a mere mimicry, to making a permanent
and positive change in the leader’s effectiveness.
|
Ultimately, it will enable participants: |
|
|
 |
Understand the dynamics that form the foundation
of all effective leadership |
| |
|
 |
Appreciate the importance of modeling and mentoring, in
relation to teaching |
| |
|
 |
Recognise that teaching is “heard” through
non-auditory media |
| |
|
 |
Value the importance of self-sacrifice in
earning the right to lead |
| |
